I love pizza. But, I don’t love eating meat and cheese. But, I REALLY love pizza. So, how to unite these conflicting emotions? Vegan pizza!

One package of whole wheat pizza crust.

Flour to dust rolling pin and counter top.

1 package tofurky sun dried tomato italian sausage.

1 red and 1 orange pepper.

1 red onion.

2 tbsp basil, chopped.

5 ounces sliced mushrooms.

1 container Trader Joe’s pizza sauce.

Olive oil.

Garlic powder, salt, pepper, and parsley to taste.


1. Chop up veggies.

2. Heat up olive oil in cast iron skillet and add sliced mushrooms. Cook until browned.

3. Once browned, add the rest of the veggies and brown.

4. Meanwhile, slice up the tofurky sausages and brown in skillet.

5. Roll out pizza dough, press into pan, drizzle with olive oil and top with some garlic powder. Roll edges to create a crust.

6. Add pizza sauce to the crust.

7. Press tofurky links into crust and sauce.

8. Top with veggies and basil.

9. Bake at 350 for 15 minutes, or until the crust is cooked.

10. Serve!
