Who say’s you have to have cheese to enjoy lasagna? Not me!!! I didn’t believe this could be this good until the first time I tried it, and since then, I’ve been hooked!


1 jar good marinara sauce

1/2 package Trader Joe’s precooked lasagna noodles (or your favorite brand)

1 package firm tofu, pressed

3 cloves garlic, crushed

1-2 tbsp fresh basil

salt and pepper to taste



  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  2. Using a food processor, blend garlic and basil until chopped well.
  3. Add tofu, blend until mixed. Add salt and pepper and blend again.
  4. Empty 1/3 jar of sauce into bottom of a 9/13 inch pan.
  5. Layer lasagna noodles into pan.
  6. Layer 1/2 of tofu mixture onto noodles.
  7. Layer 1/3 of sauce onto tofu mixture.
  8. Layer noodles onto sauce.
  9. Layer rest of the tofu onto noodles.
  10. Layer noodles onto tofu and top with the rest of the sauce.
  11. Cover with foil and bake 2o minutes, then remove foil and cook 10 minutes.
  12. Serve! 🙂
